Online Life Drawing

Lockdown was a dark time for many- an unprecedented global pandemic left us out of a studio for classes with a ban on social events. We decided straight away to take our classes online and try and bring a bit of happiness and creativity into the lives of our drawers! We decided to never charge a set price for our classes- but offered them as ‘pay what you can’. Throughout lockdown, we donated 50% of all of our profits to different charities with an aim of giving something back to the wider community.

Our classes over lockdown were beyond anything we could ever have imagined- we had over 500 people join us a week and collaborated with some of the UK’s largest brands for giveaways. We had people join in from all over the world- Australia, Singapore, South America, India etc… We build up an amazing community and had so many people reach out letting us know that our classes were getting them through lockdown and were the highlight of their week. We have people join in online that have never been able to attend in person classes due to being registered blind, recovering from strokes, suffering from chronic illness or too anxious to attend in person.

In Person Classes

*all times are BST

How do I join in?

Simply direct message us on instagram, email us or book through EventBrite on the below link. You will then receive the ZOOM link along with our method of payment and a playlist to draw along to!

What do I need?

All you need is something to draw on, and something to draw with!
Low on paper? We’ve even had people using discarded cardboard packaging!

How much is it to join?

Our online sessions have always been ‘pay what you can’. This is to ensure that art is accessible to all, which is more important than ever during the current climate. You donate what you can afford. The money goes towards paying our models, our overheads and allows us to keep on providing online classes every week!

What’s an online life drawing class like?

Our sessions generally last for about an hour and a half. You’re welcome to have your camera turned on or off for the session.
We start with a series of short poses, recommending different drawing techniques to help warm you up. Then moving onto some longer poses. During the half time we will stop for an interval, allowing drawers to ‘spotlight’ their work if you’d like to. There’s no pressure to show your pieces. Our classes are a friendly and welcome environment. With people of all ages joining in.
